HAUS OF FREEDOM (2025) is an interactive, iterative installation that serves as a container for what activates queer imagination, strength, and care. This first iteration was presented at CalArts Main Gallery and portions later at Human Resources Gallery, Los Angeles, featuring hand-embroidered wedding dresses, pink house sculptural structures, a pole dance stage with a bamboo pole, an acrylic sculpture, and the neon “FUCK YOUR BORDERS” piece. Alongside intimate photographs of home, queer kinship, and daily rituals, this iteration honors the labor of building chosen family, preserves queer histories as time capsules, and creates a vibrant space to reflect on the acts that sustain queer joy and community. It was presented alongside the photo series, “Visions of Love.”
