"Los Ángeles Se Despiertan Por la Noche" (2025) (The Angels/Los Angeles Wake(s) Up at Night) is a photo book I made that documents queer kinship, nightlife, and home- making across Los Angeles. Combining daytime images of spaces with photos of how my chosen family transforms these spaces at night, the book explores how queer people make place through our expressions and relations, and how we practice kinship through love, dance, and joy. Paired with textual excerpts from "Queering Utopia", I see the book as a queer archive exploring queer sanctuaries as sites of queer transformation.
