"Los Ángeles Se Despiertan Por la Noche" (2025) (The Angels/Los Angeles Wake(s) Up at Night) is a photo book that documents queer kinship, nightlife, and home- making across Los Angeles. Combining daytime images of spaces with photos of how chosen family transforms these spaces at night, the book explores how queer people make place through our expressions and relations, and how we practice kinship through love, dance, and joy. The book contains images from iconic queer landmarks in Los Angeles such as Club Tempo, Rocco’s, The Eagle, and warehouse spaces that used for underground parties, thus also serving an archival purpose. With a handmade leather and mirror cover and paired with textual excerpts from "Cruising Utopia", the book is a queer archive exploring queer sanctuaries as sites of transformation.
